WMCC students participated in a week-long Humanities course entitled "Plien Air Drawing." Participants had the opportunity to explore the beauty of the North Country with an artist's eye. The course required gallery exhibits to view and discuss Plien Air Drawing, focusing in on Impressionists and the White Mountain and Hudson River Schools. Students visited local areas to create artwork using oil and chalk pastels, charcoal, pencil and color pencil. The group was led by instructor and local artist O'Brien Murphy.
