Students, mark your calendars! The Fourth Annual Job Networking Opportunity Fair is just around the corner. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It will be held in the Student Center, just outside of the college Bistro. The purpose of the activity is to provide employers and students an opportunity to engage and network. Students will have a chance to meet with successful business people from near and far. It's a chance for students to learn about job opportunities in their perspective fields, and how best to prepare for those opportunities.
In order to be successful after graduation, students rely upon their education as well as advice from their professors and advisors. But the most useful lessons are often learned from successful business people. The advice and tips that business people share can further prepare students for the working world.
Invitations have been sent to nearly 100 employers, seeking their participation. We hope that students will take a few minutes to stop by and introduce themselves to the individuals representing business and industry. The event is being sponsored by the WMCC Student Senate.
