Wow, where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were watching our gardens grow, wondering what the fall would bring for harvest. Since then the leaves have changed color, we’ve been to grandmother’s house and back for the annual Thanksgiving feast, we were visited by Santa Claus and welcomed in the New Year!
Here at White Mountains Community College we’ve come to the end of another successful fall semester, which means we are also gearing up for our spring semester. On this account, we do admit to rushing the season just a bit. Our spring classes start in January, a month not known for greening fields or blooming tulips, but it will be spring when the semester ends in May. Of course, we like to think that it is spring at the start of every semester, as our classrooms spring back to life after each semester break.
No matter what it is doing outside, or what month is flipped open on your wall calendar, our spring semester can be a new beginning for you. While we always enjoy welcoming back our already-enrolled students at the start of each semester, we look forward to meeting new students, too.
In the spring, we offer many of the courses you will need to complete degree programs, so it won’t matter that you did not start your college career in the fall. You can study at the main campus in Berlin, our Academic Center in Littleton, in Conway or in Colebrook. Spring course schedules are listed at: http://www.wmcc.edu/academics/course-schedules, along with information on how to register for classes. You can sign up for classes online, and also apply for admission online, too.
Don’t want to leave the warmth of your seat by the woodstove? Check out our online classes. Each year the number of courses we offer online increases. We have over 45 classes online this spring semester, offering everything from the Principles of Macroeconomics to Mechanical Maintenance & Pumps. As you can for our other classes, you can register right online. We are also offering two sessions of eight week courses. The first session runs January 20 through March 13. The second session runs March 23 through May 11. If you’d like to complete courses in a condensed timeframe, be sure to check out those eight week courses.
Make sure you take a peek at the listings for our spring semester non-credit courses. The topics vary greatly and include both professional development courses as well as those deemed “just for fun.” Go to http://www.wmcc.edu/academics/non-credit-and-professional-development-co... to learn about what’s being offered.
For more information about enrolling at WMCC, stop by our Berlin or Littleton locations, or call the Admissions Office at 603-752-1113 or 1-800-445-4525. Spring semester begins on Tuesday, January 20, so the time to act is NOW!
Best Wishes for a very happy 2015.
