What is the Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is a support service staffed by professional educators, which provides academic skills assistance to the North Country region. We are dedicated to promoting a responsive learning environment to the best of our capacity for all students and North Country residents who need academic assistance. 

Who uses the ASC?
White Mountains Community College students have full access to ASC services. The ASC also works closely with area high schools, providing supplemental instruction and alternative credit on PLATOWEB. Services are free to students enrolled in credit courses and to members of the community on a fee-for service basis.

Academic Workshops: The Academic Success Center would be happy to present workshops on an array of topics. Workshop topics offered at the ASC include: Stress Reduction, Brain Gym, Communication, Learning Styles, Diversity Awareness, Time Management, Test Taking Strategies and /or Test Anxiety, Memory Techniques, and Tips for College Success.

Tutoring - Mentoring 

Academic assistance is available at no cost to any student in a credit bearing course. Please come to the ASC for more information on the following:

  • Peer Mentoring and Tutoring
  • Professional Tutoring by Appointment
  • PLATOWEB Tutoring
  • Online Support
