Criminal Justice/Homeland Security Program of Study

Over 13 million arrests were made nationwide during 2002. Thirty-four thousand, three hundred and forty-eight occurred in New Hampshire and were processed through one of 113 law enforcement agencies. The following year, the total estimated correctional population nationwide was 6,889,800. New Hampshire was "home" to 9,400 individuals under correctional supervision.

Our Criminal Justice program provides a balanced combination of criminal justice theory, liberal arts, and hands-on experience through an internship. Graduates will have the educational background and skills to pursue a career in law enforcement, corrections, probation, the juvenile system, or other fields related to criminal justice. Our diverse faculty includes lawyers, police officers, corrections officers, and juvenile advocates. Each of them brings unique, practical experiences to the classroom. Our classes are small and provide the individual attention you desire.
