Federal Work-Study at White Mountains Community College
Work Study is part-time jobs on campus. The pay rate is currently $8/hour with pay periods running on a bi-weekly schedule. Students are limited to a range of 8-10 hours per week. Students are responsible for checking with the Financial Aid Office when the semester begins to review the list of available jobs. Students will be responsible for making the initial contact with a supervisor and working out a mutually acceptable work schedule. Students must complete an I-9 form, a W-4 form, and a Payroll Authorization Form in order to be set up on the State of N.H.'s payroll system. These forms can be downloaded below and are also available in the Financial Aid Office. Students are encouraged to seek placement in jobs that complement and reinforce the recipient's educational program and career goals.

W-4 EMPLOYEE'S WITHHOLDING ALLOWANCE CERTIFICATE FORM (PDF 224 KB)This must be completed prior to beginning work study employment. Complete this form so that the correct federal income tax can be withheld.
I-9 EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION FORM (PDF 444 KB)
This must be completed prior to beginning work study employment. Additional documentation must be provided to establish identity and employment authorization.
FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM PAYROLL AUTHORIZATION FORM (PDF 36 KB)
This must be completed prior to beginning work study employment. This form must be signed by student and supervisor.
