Leadership North Country --- North of the Notches
Current Leadership Class Visits the Morrison
On January 12, ten members of the current Leadership North Country class spent a half-day learning about town government, town meetings, and Senate Bill 2. The class received a tour of The Morrison Nursing Home, a skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Whitefield. The visit was part of the leadership development program of White Mountains Community College, a program that is funded in part by Public Service of New Hampshire and the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund. Participants learn about public and private resources in the North Country and how to collaborate to find solutions to area challenges - in both the private and the public sector. Leadership North Country consists of nine half-day study sessions at various sites throughout the North Country. Applications for the course is open with classes begin in September.
