On January 8, eleven members of the current Leadership North Country class spent a half-day learning about Long Term Care and other health-related topics at The Morrison, a skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Whitefield. The visit was part of the leadership development program of White Mountains Community College, a program that is funded in part by Public Service of New Hampshire. Participants learn about public and private resources in the North Country and how to collaborate to find solutions to area challenges - in both the private and the public sector. Leadership North Country consists of nine half-day study sessions at various sites throughout the North Country. Applications for the course open in March; classes begin in September.
