The Woodsville Academic Center of White Mountains Community College has been providing access to post secondary education since 1992. The college is currently offering courses at the Haverhill Higher Education Center (Woodsville High School) in Woodsville. The courses and higher education services available at the Woodsville Academic Center make quality post secondary education accessible to New Hampshire and Vermont residents of the Woodsville region.
A wide variety of courses are available at the Woodsville site. WMCC is a fully accredited community college. Most courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities. Classes are held during evening hours and Vermont residents pay instate tuition. Courses are also offered at the Littleton Academic Center, only 22 miles from Woodsville.
