Student Wellness Center Groundbreaking at the College!
Dignitaries and a large crowd of supporters gathered at White Mountains Community College for a groundbreaking ceremony on July 16. The college is undergoing renovations to the north wing of the building, including the first and second floors, as well as adding a new 4,000 square foot Student Wellness Center, which is slated to be completed in the spring of 2009. Also under construction is a 1,500 square foot addition to the college bake shop.
Participating in the groundbreaking (above l-r) are Advisory Board member Dan Kennedy of White Horse Press; Advisory Board member Carl Linblade, a hospitality faculty member at UNH; Advisory Board member Jim Tibbetts, First Colebrook Bank; Advisory Board member Diane Alinovi, Laconia Savings Bank; Dr. Richard Gustafson, CCSNH Chancellor; Chris Woerner, project manager, Seppala Construction; College President Kathy Eneguess; Sam Seppala, President of Seppala Construction and Dennis Mires, of Dennis Mires P.A., The Architects. Many area subcontractors and workers have been hired for various components of this building and renovation project.
