NHCTC Welcomes Berlin Native as New Culinary Instructor

Among the new faces this year at the New Hampshire Community College is Berlin native, Travis Giles, who will be joining Kurt Hohmeister in the Culinary Arts Program. An Emmons Award winner and 1995 NHCTC graduate, Giles started his position at the college in September and looks forward to sharing his life experiences after college with his students.

After his graduation, Giles worked at the Mount Washington Hotel in the fine dining department for several years. More recently, Giles has worked as the Executive Chef at the Grand Summit Hotel. "At each of my past jobs, my favorite part was teaching others," said Giles. "It's a great feeling to teach someone a new skill and watch them accomplish their goals. When I found out about the position opening at the college, I knew it was perfect for me. I look forward to being with the students and teaching them all I know."
