Course Reserves
Some of the books and videos which are required reading for White Mountains Community College students are placed on reserve by our faculty. Reserves generally do not circulate and must be signed out for use in the library.
Interlibrary Loans
The Library has electronic access to information about many library collections. Students may use the ILL service to borrow materials not owned by the Library, however materials coming from a library outside the Community College System of NH may take from one to two weeks. Please keep this in mind, and ask for these materials as early on in a project as possible.
Library Instruction
Librarians are available to teach library skills on a one-to-one basis, or to classes, by appointment. An instruction session ensures that you know what electronic databases the library has to offer, as well as how to use them most efficiently for your research.
Study Areas and Conference Rooms
The Fortier Library has three separate rooms set aside for private tutoring, group study, or conferences. These rooms are equipped with a computer and Internet connections, and are available to student and staff on a sign-up basis.
Wireless Access to Internet
Those with a laptop and a wireless card (802.11b or 80211g compliant) may access the Internet and print while in the Library.
Student Information System Tips
