Got WORK? If the answer is "no" or “not enough”, then the WorkReadyNH program offered by White Mountains Community College may be just the boost your job search needs.
Job seekers report that today's job market can be intimidating, with many more applicants than available positions. To even be considered for a position, job seekers must present themselves and their skills in the very best light possible. This can be difficult to do. After all, how do you prove that you know something or that you have the skills an employer is seeking?
The WorkReadyNH program provides a way to assess, improve, and document skill levels in key areas of math, reading and locating information. Employers have identified soft skills as some of the most important skills an applicant or worker can have. The WorkReadyNH three week soft skills class provides workplace readiness training in communication, conflict resolution, employer expectations, interviews, ethics, problem solving, self-discipline, teamwork, safety and workplace sensitivity/harassment.
Successful graduates earn the National Career Readiness Certificate, a strong measure of an individual's ability to solve problems and to apply his or her skills to a wide range of challenging problems and situations. Graduates also receive the White Mountains Community College professional level soft skills credential.
