Intro to Technical Manufacturing Course scheduled


Back by popular demand, a night class will help those in Northern New Hampshire gain highly marketable skills in technical manufacturing.  Introduction to Technical Manufacturing will run on Wednesdays, from 5 to 8 p.m., September 13 thorugh December 13. Classes will be held at the Hugh J. Gallen Career and Technical Center in Littleton, N.H. The class, Introduction to Technical Manufacturing, is a collaborative effort between White Mountains Community College (WMCC), Littleton High School, New England Wire, Burndy, Rotobec and Genfoot America. The instructor will be Jeremy Aldrich. 

The non-credit course focuses on three areas: AutoCAD Inventor, where students create 3D models and detailed drawings; hierarchical storage management (HSM) computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, where students learn to generate computer numerical control (CNC) code of machine parts; and using the AutoCAD model to create a 3D prototype.

The course is limited to 16 students and scholarships are available if income eligibility requirement are met.
