An in-depth study of the fundamentals of early childhood education, including program development, physical setting and use of space, use of materials, adult-child interaction and curriculum. This course offers students an opportunity for on-site study of child care programs for infants, toddlers and pre-school age children. Learning objectives and activities will be established through weekly seminars. A minimum of 90 hours at a work site is required plus 15 hours of supervised seminar. Students must be First Aid and CPR certified to register. (Prerequisites: ECE112W, 117W.119W or POI)
