Designed to give students knowledge and skills required to perform basic small animal nursing in the veterinary setting.  Record keeping, safety concerns, monitoring of hospitalized animals, and basic animal care skills will be gained.  Students will gain an understanding of euthanasia procedures and post mortem care as well as an understanding of basic pharmacy skills, legal issues involving all drugs in the workplace, and medication and therapeutic diet inventory and delivery methods. Emphasis is on assisting the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician with these procedures. (Co-Requisite: VETA101W)
