Graphic Medicine

Ill-conceived & well-drawn

Graphic medicine is the use of comics to tell personal stories of illness and health, communicating the author’s personal experience, as the art adds subjective, emotional impact.  November 13th through December 23rd, the National Library of Medicine’s traveling exhibition, “Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well Drawn!” will be on display at the WMCC’s Learning Commons, located in room 309, weekdays between 8am and 4pm.  This exhibition is sponsored in part by a grant from “Aunt Lil,” the Dr. Lillian Luksis Charitable Foundation.  Learn more about this exhibit at: www.nlm.nih.gov/exhibition/graphicmedicine/index.html
