Introduction to Watercolor Painting

During this workshop, students will be introduced to foundational techniques of watercolor painting. They will learn about the basic materials and tools required for this versatile and enjoyable art-making process. Demonstrations and direct instruction will be brief; most of the workshop will be a hands-on, experimental art-making experience! This will be a fun, laid-back opportunity to gain some confidence with the medium.

Instructor Samantha Davis received her bachelor’s degree in art ed. from UMaine in 2010. She began her public school teaching career that same year in Downeast Maine. Sam moved to the Conway area in 2013 and continued her teaching career at Molly Ockett School in Fryeburg. She was a member of the Maine Arts Leadership Initiative for several years. Samantha is excited about creating art with people in our local community. She and her husband reside in Intervale, and she currently stays home with her 2 young children.
