White Mountains Community College Named “2022 Great College to Work For”
Berlin, N.H. (September 19, 2022) – White Mountains Community College (WMCC) has earned the status of being a Great College to Work For®. This acknowledgment comes from one of the largest and most respected workplace recognition programs in the country. The results were released in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education based on a national survey of 212 colleges and universities. As the only community college in New England to be recognized, WMCC was among 68 institutions nationally to achieve “Great College to Work For” acknowledgment for workplace best practices and policies. WMCC was also cited in two categories: Mission and Pride and Compensation and Benefits.

ModernThink, a strategic human capital consulting firm, administered the survey and analyzed the results based on a two-part assessment process: a questionnaire that captured employment data and workplace policies from each institution along with a faculty, administrator and staff survey. Employee feedback was used as the primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition. White Mountains Community College (WMCC) is located in Berlin, New Hampshire with satellite campuses in Littleton and North Conway, and is one of seven colleges in the Community College System of New Hampshire.
