The Inpatient Auditing program requires students to have at least three years of experience in inpatient acute care medical coding as well as a current RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential prior to enrollment. The course is designed for busy adult learners who have limited time, and students can test out of material they already know. Students will learn both the technical and soft skills required to be a good auditor, including ICD-10-CM/PCS, fundamentals and reimbursement concepts, regulatory compliance, healthcare law, and documentation integrity.
