Introduction to Cataloging and Classification introduces the systems of information organization and retrieval. Topics include the organization of print and non-print collections, RDA and MARC records, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, the Dewey Decimal Classification, the Library of Congress Classification, and the Library of Congress and Sears Subject Headings. The course also covers trends in technology and library automation systems and their management.
