Financial Aid Process
Not all students are required to complete the below forms. Students are notified by letter and or email if required to submit documents.
If you have received a letter from the college indicating that you have been selected for verification and further documentation is required, please complete this worksheet.
If you have received a letter from the college indicating that you have been selected for verification and you are required to provide a federal tax return transcript, please use the instructions in this PDF document to request that information from the IRS. Tax filers can request a transcript, free of charge, of their “2019” tax return. Please be sure to request a “IRS Tax Return Transcript” and not the IRS Tax Account Transcript. Non tax filers should also order this form as proof that they did not file taxes for 2019.
Entrance Loan Counseling & Master Promissory Note
If you borrow a federal student loan, you will be required to complete online entrance counseling, which will explain your rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower. You will also need to complete a Master Promissory Note – MPN agreeing to the terms of the loan. You will need your FSA lD (FSA ID you created when you signed your FAFSA form) to complete the entrance counseling and MPN requirements.
Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Forms
If you wish to appeal your current Satisfactory Academic Progress status, please complete one of the following Satisfactory Progress Appeal Forms and submit it to the Financial Aid Office:

Books should be purchased before the start of the semester. If you have financial aid (grants or excess loan funds) that exceeds your tuition & fee charges for the semester, you may qualify for a book advance, which is available for a short period prior to the start of the fall and spring semesters and prior to financial aid disbursement. You can use the book advance only at the WMCC Bookstore. This is not an automatic process, but requires students to answer the book advance question when accepting aid in their SIS account. If you use the book advance process, this will lower the amount of your financial aid refund from your grants or excess loan funds. The book advance for the summer semester is a different process; contact the financial aid office for details.
If you are registering for courses at another college within our system and want your financial aid applied to the tuition and fee charges, this form needs to be completed and returned to the WMCC Financial Aid Office.
