This course is intended to provide information and training on how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site as well as information about their rights and employer responsibilities. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter and is based on OSHA CFR 1910 guidelines. The course emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. This course must be taken concurrent with welding courses. . (Prerequisites: Advanced Welding Technology Certificate or POI, Co-requisite WELD230)
