Academic advising is available to all students. Students are assigned an academic advisor who will help you with your educational plan and registering for courses. Advisors may also help students with decisions about career goals or further education.
Depending upon your program choice, you will be assigned a faculty or staff advisor. When assigned to a staff advisor, this will be done based upon your home address. Staff advisors are available to work with students in Berlin, Littleton, and North Conway.

What is the Student Success Center?
The SSC is a support service staffed by professional educators who can provide academic skills assistance to students. The types of support vary, depending upon your needs
Who Uses the SSC?
Any student can use the SSC regardless of which location you attend for classes. Services are free to students enrolled in credit courses.
What types of services are available at the SSC?
The SSC provides academic support in a variety of subject areas. The most popular areas students request help in are with math problems and writing assignments. Academic support services are not limited to math and English. We can find you the help you need in any subject area.
The SSC also provides workshops of interest to students, such as Time Management, Notetaking, How to Get the Most out of Your Textbook, Test Anxiety, and Learning Styles. During the spring semester, the SSC staff assists students with resume development and interview skills.
Computers are available specifically for coursework related to Student Success Center offerings. MyMathLab, MyStatsLab, Mindtap, Smarthinking, Canvas, Navigate, SIS, and WMCC Student Email are supported in the Student Success Center. Computers are also available for students to work on class projects, papers, etc.
Students who self-disclose a disability during the admissions process or at any time during their academic career at WMCC are invited to meet with the Accessibility Services Coordinator to discuss available services and advocate to access those services. WMCC is committed to making sure students with disabilities are guaranteed equal access to all the educational benefits of the college.

Eligibility for Services
To be eligible for support services, students are required to provide documentation of disability to the Accessibility Services Coordinator. This information is confidential and is used exclusively to plan appropriate accommodations.
Documentation must be current (within the last three years in most cases) and include:
- A clear statement of the disability
- A summary of the assessment procedures and evaluation instruments used to make the diagnosis
- A summary of evaluation results

How to Access Services
- Contact the Accessibility Services Coordinator and provide the necessary supporting documents.
- Meet with the Accessibility Services Coordinator to develop/review and update your plan.
- Obtain a copy of your Individual Reasonable Accommodation Plan (RAP) for each class.
- Meet with your instructor(s) and present a copy of your accommodation plan to discuss how your needs will be met. The instructor will sign an acknowledgment form that you present and return it to the Accessibility Services Coordinator. Online faculty will receive documents via email.
- Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 each semester.
- If the student and instructor are unable to agree on implementing the RAP as written, the instructor will contact the Accessibility Services Coordinator and, in consultation with the Department Chair, make a determination of whether the recommended accommodation(s) will fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity.

To self-refer for accessibility services, or to get more information about accessibility services process, please fill out the Self-Referral for Support Services form.
The Assisting People in Transition Program provides educational and career planning assistance, academic advising and counseling, and academic and community resource and referral services for single parents and displaced homemakers enrolled in eligible programs. Supplemental financial assistance may be available in the form of tuition and textbook assistance, and childcare and travel reimbursements.
The WMCC Bookstore is where you will find the books for your courses, supplies, WMCC swag, and more! Credit cards, debit cards, Apple pay, cash, and Financial Aid’s Book Advance are accepted here. If you are receiving funding from a third party (i.e., Veterans Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation, or NH Works), your caseworker must forward your authorization to the bookstore’s email [email protected] prior to your purchases.
The WMCC Bookstore will purchase and resell used books on a first-come, first-served basis.

While you are a student at WMCC, we want to make sure you are safe. Everyone has a role to play when it comes to safety. College community members must take responsibility for their own personal safety and the security of their personal belongings by taking simple, common-sense precautions. Lock your vehicles, keep valuables out of sight, and always be aware of your surroundings. WMCC employs a part-time Safety and Security Supervisor.
If you find yourself facing barriers that are holding you back from being successful in your classes, you can meet with our college counselor who will help you identify and eliminate those barriers. Meeting with the counselor can help you find a way to meet your academic goals. All counseling is confidential. Students may refer themselves for counseling services. The college can also make referrals to appropriate local health and social service agencies.
Kepro Student Assistance Program
From time to time, everyone experiences situations that affect their general wellbeing. The WMCC/CCSNH Student Assistance Program (Kepro) is a resource to help current students be successful at meeting their responsibilities and creating solutions that allow you to be healthier, happier, and more productive. This is a free, confidential service available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

On-campus counseling services are available to prevent or manage emotional responses such as stress, anxiety, and depression. Contact Jeff Swayze, 603-342-3058, Berlin Campus: Office 127.
The fitness center is free to students and is located in the Student Wellness Center. A variety of cardio and strength training equipment is available. Please visit the Welcome Center before use to complete a waiver. Fitness Center hours are posted on the door.
Head to the WMCC Bistro for a fresh breakfast or lunch. It’s where you will find a hot and cold breakfast and lunch meals weekdays while classes are in session. Monday through Friday, breakfast hours are 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and lunch hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Meal tickets sold at $10 increments are available in the Welcome Center. No refunds are allowed for unused portions of the meal ticket or for lost tickets.
Snacks are available for purchase at both Academic Centers in Littleton and North Conway.
The library is a welcoming place where you can quietly study, get assistance with research material, work on projects with classmates, or access a computer.
WMCC does not offer on-campus housing. Instead, the college provides a comprehensive list of housing options available within close proximity to the college.
Honor Society – Phi Theta Kappa
The National Honor Society welcomes students who have completed a minimum of 12 college-level credits with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The society promotes the qualities of scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. Each semester the society raises funds to assist a community organization of their choice.
Student Senate
If you’re interested in making a difference in your college community, the Student Senate is for you! The Student Senate is responsible for governing, guiding, and funding student clubs and events on campus. They plan events that promote the general welfare of every student, including social and cultural activities.
Membership is comprised of two students from each major, one senior and one freshman are elected by classmates. These representatives accept the challenges of leadership, authority, and responsibility in working with their peers, faculty, and administration. All students are welcome to participate, but only elected representatives may vote on issues.

Students at the college often organize their own activities guided by faculty or staff advisors.

Our goal is to assist veterans and their dependents, guardsmen, and reservists to access educational benefits and support you in your successful pursuit of a degree, certificate, or workforce training. The Welcome Center is located on the main campus in Berlin, right off the main entrance, and is the heart of our college. This office is staffed Monday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Can’t make it in person?
